I am a 57 year old woman that has been overweight all her life. My weight has been at a plateau for about 25 years, 5 pounds up/5 pounds down. I was recently diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I tried weight loss programs over the years, spending tons of money without success. I tried gyms and spent more time telling myself why I didn’t feel like going than actually going (it’s too cold/it’s too hot/it’s too nice out!)
Since joining Gymnasia, in three months I have lost 10 pounds, my A1C has gone down to within normal range, my friends & coworkers are noticing the change in my shape. I believe I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I actually almost have a waist!
Dee is our trainer, my husband & I go twice a week, she has given me confidence and she pushes me to do the best I can. I am doing things I never thought I could do, swing & dead lift kettle bells, crawl backwards on the floor, hanging from a bar, swinging from rings. As an overweight child I never physically played, I could do not what the other kids could do.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dee & Gymnasia, the staff is so warm & friendly, I feel safe when exercising and it’s fun. Best of all I feel so much better and I’m seeing results. The best two hours of the week are the two hours I spend training with my husband & Dee.
